Scott’s 2017 Race Season Plans Announced

We are really pleased to finally announce Scott’s plans for the 2017 motorsport season. After many months of planning, Ginetta announced today that Scott will will join the HHC Motorsport team for his first year of motorsport as part of the Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship.

Scott is entering his first season of competitive motorsport with the aim of becoming the 2017 Rookie Champion. He hopes that seven years of Ice Driving race and rally cars in Sweden and Norway will give him skills to be competitive on what will undoubtedly be another ultra-competitive grid.

The Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship is definitely the most prominent Junior racing series in the UK and I’ve always wanted to race as a part of it in order to have the very best start to my sports car racing career.”

It’s great to have drivers with new and interesting routes into the Ginetta Junior Championship, and ice driving is certainly one! The Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK’s longest running and most prestigious junior series. Offering the first step on the motorsport ladder for 14-17 year old racing drivers, it gives aspiring teenage drivers the experience of a lifetime, kick-starting their journey towards racing stardom to a massive trackside audience and millions of fans at home.

The G40 Junior is considered to be the ideal first step for 14-17 year olds starting out in motorsport. In recent years, it has become one of the most well-known models at the British Touring Car Championship weekend. Powered by a sealed Ford 1800cc Zebec 4 cylinder engine and restricted under MSA regulations to 100bhp, the cars weigh just 830kg.
